My daughter is half Japanese and her middle name is Kokomi. (Pronounced Koh-Koh-Mee) It means “beautiful heart” in Japanese. I didn’t support the name at first because all I could think of was the Beach Boy’s song, “Kokomo.” But once I heard the meaning of the name, it was too pretty and too sweet to resist anymore. And that’s exactly what we wish for her to have, a “beautiful heart.”  Kokomi’s Korner is a weekly post that has no story and no text, just cute pictures of little Ellie.

She is beautiful! What a beautiful name for a beautiful little girl who I am sure has a beautiful heart!
Thanks Dave! We are doing our best to raise her to have a thoughtful and kind heart.
May I ask which camera and lens you use? Your photos are fantastic!
Thank you! I have a Canon Rebel, and for all the food and most of the Kokomi pictures, I use a 50mm f1.2 lens. All the other pictures I take, I just the regular lens that came with the camera.
