SIBLINGS
I don’t think I’m supposed to say this, but if I could go back to the night when my second son was conceived, I’d put my sweatpants on and curl up with a good book.

I have often wondered why I was especially “chosen” to have twins. Six years ago, while I was still working in Finance, a client of mine said something to me that I will never forget. Her twins were all grown, well into their forties. She told me the story of when she was walking her babies in the stroller down the sidewalk, both of them fussing, and a woman came up to talk to her. The woman said to her, “God chooses special people to have twins.” My client looked at her and desperately replied, “I think He picked the wrong person.”

Children, they are gifts from God. Even though I was a foot taller and had a full head of hair before we had our children. (Just kidding) My wife and I were blessed with two sons. The first was born on Father’s Day. Wow…. quite the Father’s Day gift. My wife was hoping for a daughter but a few years later we were blessed with another son. Both of our sons were basically good kids. Aside from the occasional incident like the egg tossing event.  This is when our oldest decided it would be fun to toss eggs across the street towards the neighbor’s house. And the other time that both of the little darlings were on the patio smashing Match Box cars with hammers. (little toy cars for those of you younger folks). When asked what the heck they were doing, they replied that they were making a junk yard. Gotta have realism.

Hello, everyone! Long time reader, first time blogger. Being BFFs with Matt, we gab on the phone a lot and talk about sleep schedules, poop schedules, parenting concerns, exchange advice, and attempt to convince the other that OUR baby is acting MORE crazy that day. Our phone conversations are like Matt’s posts, but happening in real time, and I am beyond excited for all of you to read my side of the conversation for the first time!

i was pretty excited when matt asked me to be a guest writer for the blog. a blog is something i’ve always wanted to do – but never got around to. lol. in fact, when my oldest was young – i was blogging before blogging was cool, i was just doing it via email and calling them journal entries. they were soooo therapeutic! i was still doing it when baby #2 came along… and once baby #3 came, well…. forget about it. but i totally have a thing for words 🙂 – once text messaging and facebook entered the scene, i gave up capital letters and proper punctuation – and now manage to pull off the longest status updates, comments, and texts in history. THAT’s therapy 🙂
