Barbecue pulled chicken sliders, homemade coleslaw, and a cobb salad. These were awesome! This was my first time making coleslaw. I used too many carrots so it turned orange. Other than that, this was a good one.
Pad Thai
For the third recipe of Noodle Week, I decided to go back to some Asian foods and try making pad thai and egg drop soup. This recipe called for tamarind paste which I didn’t have. I think it might be a key ingredient. This tasted good, but it didn’t taste like pad thai. My mom made this a few weeks ago and hers tasted totally different. So one of us messed up pretty bad.

Turkey Burgers w Proscuitto & Cantalope
Turkey burgers with proscuitto and cantalope, spicey sweet potato wedges with a mayonnaise honey sauce, sauteed spinach, and a garden salad. Cantalope!? On a burger? It sounds weird, but it tastes surprisingly good. It has a similar texture as a tomato and is just a little bit sweeter, so it really wasn’t as weird as I was expecting. I really should have bought bigger buns though.
RECIPES:
Tandoori-spiced Chicken
Tandoori-spiced chicken with basmati rice, a side of sauteed garlic spinach, and a fresh garden salad. Topping it off with citrus pudding for dessert. I’m not gonna lie, the citrus pudding was a little weird. It tasted good, but it was weird getting that flavor from pudding.
